TESTIMONIALS

"On February 11, 2016, at the Offices of the Consul General of Italy to Philadelphia, I received Ugo Petrillo and Teresa Gail Sosby and other organizers of an interesting initiative to raise awareness of the treasures of Val d'Elsa in America. We were treated to an evening which demonstrated the friendship between Philadelphia and Val d'Elsa, one of the richest places in Italy for its culture and culinary traditions."

"I wanted to let you know how much Alice and I enjoyed the tours provided by Tuscan Treasure Tours on our recent trip to Tuscany. It was gratifying to see and do so many awesome things away from the typical tourist attractions in Tuscany. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited and he had quite the sense of humor.
We particularly enjoyed our stop in Certaldo to experience this Tuscan town and the home of the Renaissance writer Boccaccio. What a treat when we made it to the top of the museum that houses Boccaccio's works to find the splendid views of the hills of the Val d'Elsa including a view of the town of San Gimignano. This may have been the best view of the trip.
Another memorable part of our tour was experiencing the Sunday morning Latin Mass at Castello della Magione on the Via Francigena in Poggibonsi. It was special that our tour guide was able to arrange for us to meet Count Marcello A. Cristofani, the Templar who is responsible for restoring this medieval church and hotel once owned by the Knights Templar.
Finally, we loved the bike tour you arranged from Colle de Val d'Elsa to Monteriggioni - the medieval walled town about 20km away. Laura of Gippo Bike made sure we had the proper equipment for the type of riders we are. There were few cars on the designated off the main roads route, and the scenery was spectacular.

I would highly recommend Tuscan Treasure Tours."

" ’The "Val d' Elsa Project’ is a new and innovative way of conceiving tourism, not only based on visiting world famous tourist destinations. It is rather built on people, stories to be lived, places still expressing authentic Tuscan values, tales and peculiar experiences that can make a journey unique and inimitable, in search of the true soul of a land ready to surprise you."

"After reading the tour, "Val d'Elsa: a Biker's Paradise," I realized why it took months of work and research to construct a well-refined bike tour. As an organizer of national level biking competitions, I'm familiar with the area, and without any doubts, I confirm that "Val d' Elsa: a Biker's Paradise" is a fantastic tour. Even better than tours of other operators that for years work in Italy. So, I recommend this experience because it will leave you with a ‘pearl’ that you will always bring with you."
